By 2045 humans have acted too slowly to reduce global carbon use that would have prevented low lying cities from being overwhelmed by water levels so quickly. In addition to Venice, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Bangkok in Thailand, Basra in Iraq, Georgetown in Guyana, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Kolkata in India, New Orleans and Savannah in the USA are all submerged by the rising water of the world.
